About Opera Anywhere

Driven by a passion to perform fully staged opera, Mike & Vanessa Woodward founded 'Opera Anywhere' to tour and present innovative and imaginative productions. Their first ever performance was on an especially erected stage on their Village Pond in Sunningwell, as part of the millennium celebrations in 2000. 'Proms On The Pond' has now become a bi-annual music and arts festival which Mike & Vanessa have developed into a cross genre celebration of music of all types including opera, folk and rock music! Opera Anywhere have been enjoying successful tours performing in many different venues such as small theatres, village halls, gardens, concert halls, castles, manor houses, railway stations, shopping centres, corporate head offices, conference centres, ice rinks. punts and on village ponds! Recently we even appeared on ITV and on the Harvey Goldsmith Channel 4 and E4 follow up TV documentary entitled 'Get Your Act Together' and have broadcasted live on 'In Tune' on Radio 3.

Harvey Goldsmith has been mentoring Opera Anywhere and has helped them to develop a range of corporate entertainment solutions including "Arias On Ice". See the video clip of the Channel 4 programme.

Opera Anywhere has worked with some of the UK's leading companies including Sophos, Morgan Cole Solicitors, Miele and Vickers and actively seek discussions with corporate clients for sponsorship possibilities.

Last year was a hectic year for Opera Anywhere, our brand new productions of "Don Giovanni", "Proms On The Pond", "Christmas Opera Double Bill" and our "Arias On Ice" received great reviews from the press.
